Things to remember when buying Medicare Supplement

  • If you are replacing a current Medicare Supplement policy, the coverage of the new policy may be different, even if you get the same Plan letter. Coverage details have recently been revised.
  • Be aware of the possibility of confusion between Medicare Part A, B, C, D and Medicare Supplement Plan A, B, C, D.
  • Some Plans that were previously available have been discontinued.
  • Standardized Medicare Supplement policies are guaranteed renewable or non-cancelleable even if you develop health problems while insured. This means once you have the insurance coverage, the insurance company cannot cancel your Medicare Supplement policy as long as you continue to pay the premium.
  • While rate increases may occur, your individual policy cannot be singled out for a rate increase.

NEITHER STATE MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY NOR ITS MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT INSURANCE POLICIES ARE CONNECTED WITH OR ENDORSED BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT AND A LICENSED AGENT MAY CONTACT YOU.
